What size bench should I get for my table?
Let’s start with your table's length, then multiply it by roughly two-thirds to three-quarters. That's your target bench length. For seat height, stay within an inch or two of your chairs so plates line up evenly across the table. On a 72-inch table, most people land on a 48 to 54 inch bench.
How many people fit on a dining bench?
A 48" bench seats 2 adults, or up to 3 children comfortably. If you move up to 60" or 72", you will fit three adults, or a full row of kids at a holiday dinner. As a rule of thumb, you should choose a dining bench about 12” shorter than your tabletop, so it tucks in cleanly. Better yet, send us your table measurements, and we’ll confirm the fit before you order.
How do I care for my dining bench?
You simply wipe the bench with a soft microfiber cloth and a little water. Please skip harsh chemicals and abrasive scrubbers, because the wood does not need them. Our four protective coats already resist everyday spills and wear. Just wipe up messes quickly, and your bench will stay beautiful.
How fast can I get my new bench?
We ship every standard order for free. Most benches leave our workshop within 2 to 7 days, and you’ll receive full tracking, so you always know when your bench arrives. If you're going custom, plan on 10 to 12 weeks, since we don't start cutting wood until your order comes in. Along the way, we’ll keep you updated at every step.
